We use essential cookies to keep you signed in to your dashboard. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies on this site.

Content you upload to your hosting account belongs to you. We do not inspect, scan for advertising purposes, or repurpose files, databases, or email stored under your account, beyond what's needed for security and abuse prevention.

1. Introduction

PDF AI Tools ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes, why it is processed, how third-party services may be involved, and the choices available to you in compliance with Google Play Store policies.

2. Information We Process

• Camera: Used to capture physical documents for scanning. Camera images are processed on your device for document scanning and enhancement.
• Photos, Files and Documents: Used to import PDFs/images and save generated documents locally on your device. The app may access files you select or authorize for its document features.
• Google Account: If you voluntarily use Google Drive Cloud Sync, the app accesses the account information and Drive functionality needed to authenticate and store/retrieve your backups.
• Biometric authentication: If enabled, fingerprint/face authentication is handled by the Android operating system. The app does not receive or store your biometric template.
• Notifications: If notification permission is granted, notifications may be used to inform you about backup/sync completion.
• Usage and Diagnostic Data: We collect crash logs, app performance data, and basic usage analytics via Firebase to improve app stability and user experience.

3. On-Device Processing

The app's core scanning, image enhancement and OCR functionality is designed to operate primarily on your device. According to the app's current implementation, document data is not uploaded to our own servers for these core functions.

4. AI and OCR

The app may use Google ML Kit for OCR/text recognition. Where enabled, AI-assisted features such as document translation, summarization, question answering, or data extraction may use the applicable Google AI service/API. Only implement and disclose the exact AI services actually enabled in the production build.

5. Google Drive Cloud Backup

Cloud Backup is optional. When you choose to connect Google Drive and initiate backup, selected documents are transferred to your personal Google Drive account. We do not claim ownership of your documents. You control your Google Drive content and may disconnect the integration or delete backed-up files from your Drive.

6. Advertising and Google AdMob

PDF AI Tools displays advertisements using Google AdMob. AdMob may process information such as advertising identifiers, approximate location, device/app information, diagnostics, and interaction information as permitted by Google's advertising technologies and your choices. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on applicable settings, consent, region, and Google's systems.

We do not sell your documents or personal data as an advertising product. Advertising is provided by Google and is subject to Google's applicable policies and privacy documentation.

7. Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google. These services collect usage data and crash reports to help us understand how users interact with the app and to resolve technical issues quickly. The data collected may include your device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and crash traces. This data is handled in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Services

Our app uses the following third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

• Google ML Kit — OCR/text recognition.
• Google Drive API — optional cloud backup and restore.
• Google AdMob — in-app advertising.
• Google Analytics for Firebase & Firebase Crashlytics — app analytics and crash reporting.
• Google AI services/API — only if the corresponding AI features are enabled.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable technical measures appropriate to the app's functions. All data transmitted to third-party services (like Firebase and Google Drive) is encrypted in transit using secure protocols (HTTPS). Local documents remain on your device unless you choose a feature that shares or backs them up elsewhere. PIN/biometric protections are provided for app access where enabled.

10. Data Retention and Deletion (User Data Policy)

In accordance with Google Play's Data Safety and User Data policies, you have full control over your data:

• Local Documents: Documents saved locally remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
• Cloud Data: Google Drive backups remain in your Google Drive until you delete them. You can disconnect Google Drive at any time.
• Data Deletion Request: If you wish to request the deletion of any personal or analytics data collected by our app, you can do so by clicking the button below or contacting us directly at htpdev@gmail.com. We will process your deletion request promptly.

11. Children's Privacy

The app is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. • Use the PDF reader without granting camera access.
• Choose whether to connect Google Drive and whether to back up documents.
